[R2] Nessus Version 10.4.2 Fixes One Vulnerability

Synopsis

A privilege escalation vulnerability was identified in Nessus versions 10.4.1 and earlier. An authenticated attacker could potentially execute a specially crafted file to obtain root or NT AUTHORITY / SYSTEM privileges on the Nessus host.

Solution

Tenable has released Nessus 10.4.2 to address these issues. The installation files can be obtained from the Tenable Downloads Portal https://www.tenable.com/downloads/nessus
