Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for dhcp.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2018:1460 advisory.

 - dhcp: Command injection vulnerability in the DHCP client NetworkManager integration script (CVE-2018-1111)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL dhcp package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:1460.
